New Work - Art prints now available online.

Image
Sweet William had a wonderful time at the Finders Keepers Melbourne Design Market a little while ago. A whole new botanical range of art prints was launched at the market and I am glad to say they were all very well received! The range is now available online here. Each archival art print is available in 4 different easy to frame sizes. I am thoroughly enjoying drawing and painting botanicals and I am sure there will be plenty more to come!

Work in progress

Image
Current work in progress, mostly all floral pieces. My home is full of flowers at the moment which has inspired me to paint! Flowers are a constant inspiration.

Friends

Image
I have just come back from a lovely, girls weekend away in the country. We laughed, we cried, we ate chocolate, drank champagne, talked into early hours of the morning and went for walks in the forest. We had fun. Sometimes I think it is good to get away from our everyday lives in order to reconnect with our normal everyday stuff in a fresh way. Back home now and feeling refreshed and encouraged.

Protea Painting

Image
I have been painting in acrylic more and more lately, which I love - and bigger too! I am considering putting together a body of work for a small exhibition of works on canvas - which feels so new, exciting and scary to me! But we just have to keep pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, don't we? The image above is of one of my larger paintings "Pink Protea Painting" with a some of my smaller pieces along side it, all hanging above my blue couch in my living room.

Brand New Work!

Image
Hello friends! We have a whole lot of brand new work to share with you all. Due to the popular demand for kids decor and nursery prints we thought it high time Sweet William offered new artwork for the kiddies in your life. Kiddies art prints can be viewed here. The new botanical range with prints of paintings of native Australians and other flowers can be viewed here. Sweet William will be exhibiting at Markit at Federation Square on Sunday the 7th of May just in time to pick up some gifts for Mum. More information on this wonderful design event can be found here.

Warm regards Sweet William - Paula xxx

Children's book illustration

Image
I recently collaborated with Tasmanian mum, Angela Bertram on this lovely children's book - Where All Amazing Things Start. A positive message of self belief and kindness. It was great fun to work on together with Angela and we are both very happy with the final result. Here is a little more about the book from Angela's website:

A beautifully illustrated tale of nurturing yourself, your dreams and kindness, delivering a body positive message that everything enabling you to make your dreams come true, is found within you! Written to inspire the imaginative child, with space to personalise, by writing the child's name, dreams and an illustrated frame to draw in, this heart-warming book makes a memorable gift for someone special. Created for children of ages 3 – 10, to either share with an adult or for Transitional to Fluent readers.
Copies of this book can be purchased from the website here.
I have illustrated a few educational story books and plenty of children's illustrat…

Pink Waratah Painting

Image
Brand new archival art print, available in many sizes from our online shop here or through the The Store here. This is a painting I did in acrylic paint on canvas of native Australian flowers called Waratahs, they are solid, strong and beautiful, they come in a range of colours, often red. I decided to use a softer, delicate pastel palette for the painting to juxtapose the solid strength of the flower. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this and hopefully others can enjoy it now too!

Original Artwork on Paper

Image
I have just listed these original illustrations/drawings/paintings on line here . These are the originals drawings that I produced into prints. For some silly reason I feel loath to let them go - I do love looking through my piles of original work to see how I have progressed or to revisit something that has not been quite resolved...but I have piles of work around my studio and because I believe in spreading joy through creativity and because people often ask me for original work - I have put my little babies up for sale! Check them out here under the original work tab. Sigh - I will have to keep creating more!

Pink And Red

Image
I just love pink and red together. These three prints are a celebration of my love for pink and red and botanical art and are available as a set, online here.
