Christmas at my house in full colour - decorations from Poppies for Grace Poppies for Grace were exhibiting along with us at the Big Design Market last weekend. They did the most impressive stall with a beautiful tissue paper backdrop in rainbow colours - and I thought what a brilliant idea for our Christmas decorations this year! Here are the results, what do you think?

Sweet William will be launching this brand new set of prints, entitled 'My Favourites' at Markit this Sunday.  For one day only, Federation Square in Melbourne will become home to over 100 of Australia's best independent designers and makers, selling products ranging from ceramics to homewares, jewellery , fashion, stationery and prints. Admission is free! 10am–5pm. Pop in, get some Christmas shopping done and say hello!

Pack of 6 recycled cards for $22 - from our etsy shop We have just listed these brand new Christmas cards in our etsy shop they will also be available on hardtofind.com.au  very soon. Only 6 weeks till Christmas, wow! These cards are printed locally in Melbourne by a small family run business, on recycled card with vegetable based inks. I am so excited to be part of this collaboration with Mathew from Zaishu and The Big Design Market . For Zaishu's ten year anniversary they have partnered with Melbourne artists to make up limited edition artisan stools to be sold exclusively at the Big Design Market in December. The artists involved are: Bridget Bodenham, Beth Emily, Stefan Gevers, Emily Green, Rowena Martinich and myself - Paula Mills. Thrilled!

Sweet William will be at Finders Keepers  Market on Friday and Saturday at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton, Melbourne. We haven't done a market for a little while and we have lots of lovely new products to show everyone, so if you are in Melbourne come and say hello. Here is a sneak peek of some of the new work...

I just love Spring and celebrating all things new. So here are a few shots dedicated to Spring!

I am on a bit of a pastel pink mission. A few days ago I painted this little side table in my lounge room pale pink and am very happy with the result! I mixed the colour myself in my studio and applied two coats. What a quick and easy update! What do you think?

I do love bright colours (as anyone who follows my instagram feed will see) but I am also very fond of soft colours, especially soft blush, pink, flesh tones which look lovely set against white... so I revisited some of my brightly coloured designs and gave them a bit of fresh pastel makeover, I love this grey and pink colour combination and I am pretty pleased with the result! These two brand new prints are now available from our Etsy shop .

It has taken a while but at last we have been able to upload lots of new goodies, including these lovely tags and wrapping paper into our etsy store . We are so very pleased with our brand new stationery range which we have designed, produced and packaged all in our Melbourne studio. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Eventually after months of planning and production I am in a position to be able to offer these brands new cards for sale in our Etsy shop - enjoy!

I am very pleased to be part of a group exhibition with ' Just Another Project Space ' and Signed & Numbered in Prahan. I have this original collage called 'two worlds' in the exhibition. Opening Night Thursday, July 17th 6-9pm at 153 Greville Street, Prahran and 2A/127 Greville Street, Prahran (entry off Grattan Street). All welcome!

Where do you go for inspiration? Do you constantly seek fresh new, creativity? I suppose it can be found anywhere, all around us all the time. Thankfully we now have brilliant tools for collecting our online inspirational imagery such as Pinterest! Here are a few images that have been exciting my eyeballs lately. Very busy and exciting times here at Sweet William. We are thrilled to announce that we will be doing our very first trade show in Melbourne from 31st July- 3rd August with Life In Style "Life Instyle is Australia's  only  boutique trade event showcasing emerging trends, brands and products that are on the cooler side of style and design. With a strong commitment to creativity and originality, our events provide a definitive platform and inspiration filled sourcing experience for design-savvy buyers." We have been putting together a new range of prints and cards to take to the show as well as a few brand new products. We have updated our look and feel and launched a fresh advertising campaign with a brand new web site coming soon. Keep checking our instagram feed for sneak peeks and  updates. We are excited and look forward to this next chapter for Sweet William.

I could spend hours loosing my self in a world of colour and ink in my studio making happy abstract messy paintings.  Here are some pieces I  have been working on. These pieces will eventually make their way to our etys shop as archival quality art prints but I am just too busy having fun with my brushes right now!
