Inspiration - Olaf Hajek

My Olaf print framed and above my computer desk, his beautiful book below



Over the weekend I had the fun job of restocking my studio and I came home with some lovely new paints and brushes. This inspired to do a bit of painting and I now have a few small canvases on the go. Whenever I start new work I like to page through a few books of artist who inspire me. One such artist is Olaf Hajek - his work is just so beautiful, I have his book 'Flowerhead' and a print of his that hangs above my desk. Here are a few of his very inspiring images, enjoy.

I love his work, I was given a card with one of his prints on it ages ago and just loved it. Perfect inspiration, such lovely colours.

My Home in the October Country Style magazine!

I had Contry Style Magazine come and do a shoot at my home in May... a few months later and the issue finally hits the shelves. Yay! I am very pleased with the way it all turned out. Sharyn Cairns took some wonderful photographs and captured our home beautifully, while Virginia Imhoff wrote a lovely piece about all the bits and pieces in our home and how much we have traveled etc. The ' where there's tea there's hope ' print got a big feature in the shoot and on the editors letter, which we are so pleased about and the orders have already coming rolling in. Ooooh I must say it is quite a thrill to see my own home and work in print, I am most flattered!
