Hello friends! We have a whole lot of brand new work to share with you all. Due to the popular demand for kids decor and nursery prints we thought it high time Sweet William offered new artwork for the kiddies in your life. Kiddies art prints can be viewed  here . Brand new archival art print, available in many sizes from our online shop here  or through the The Store here . This is a painting I did in acrylic paint on canvas of native Australian flowers called Waratahs, they are solid, strong and beautiful, they come in a range of colours, often red. I decided to use a softer, delicate pastel palette for the painting to juxtapose the solid strength of the flower. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this and hopefully others can enjoy it now too!

One of the things I love the most about our Edwardian home, is the height of the ceilings. While this gives our home a sense of grandeur and space, it has given us new challenges with regards to our art collection. Over the years we have picked up pieces of original artwork from places we have visited and from people that have inspired us. These pieces, mixed in with my artwork and the work of dear friends, has created a lovely eclectic art collection that we our proud of. While it would have been wonderful to have continued to fill our walls with original artwork, unfortunately our budget has not allowed for that! Some of the highlights so far have been The Design Files , Country Style Magazine , The Age and The Herald Sun . I am very grateful that our Warrandyte home has been documented in this way as we will be moving on and leaving it soon. I have mixed feelings about this; excitement as Pete, the kids and I face our next big adventure of moving into Melbourne city for a more urban lifestyle and sadness as we leave behind our much loved Warrandyte cottage, local friends, community and amazing natural beauty. This cottage has served us well and I am sure the next family who is fortunate enough to dwell here will love it just as much as we have.
