My brilliant weekend with my sister
My find of the day from the trash and treasure market- Gill Sans in Ultra Bold
Hand made toys by Shelley and my kids
fantastic finds at trash and treasure market
Industria on Gertrude Street
Found this lovely old sign at the trash and treasure market
Amazing trash and treasure market
Sweet William at Sisters Market in Bruinswick
Shelley and I at De Clieu in Gertrude Street
My sister Shelley left early this morning (sigh). We had a wonderful time, it was her birthday and we managed to fit loads in over a few short days. Here is what we got up to: We cried with laughter when we had to flop around the shops in temporary paper thongs after the birthday treat pedicure (due to leaving open toed shoes at home!); we had a lovely birthday lunch at De Clieu on Gertrude Street - followed by a spot of shopping and a look around Industria; we did the Sisters Market together in Bruinswick, which was great; we got up at the crack of dawn and found some brilliant bargains at Wantirna Trash and Treasure Market (find of the day: old printers lead type in Gill Sans Ultra Bold - wow!); we had a lovely leisurely afternoon at Heide Museum of Modern Art; we made hand made toys with the kids; we walked along the river; we went to cinema; drank tea, ate lovely food; we chatted and cried some more with laughter! We had a brilliant time. There is nothing quite like a sister. P xxxxx
