What Lies Beneath

On Friday evening I went to the opening of “What
Lies Beneath” – an exhibit by the artist Gabby O’ Connor - and it took my
breath away! I cannot do it justice here as I had to use my cell phone in poor light – but it was the most stunning paper iceberg – constructed from 3 000 sheets of tissue paper, 28 000
staples and took 3 months to construct. As I entered the space, the light flooded through from the top and made me feel as if I was underwater - magical! x Shelley

It looks pretty amazing! What also amazed me is that people can have the stamina to work on something so huge and labour intensive. I sure don't!

My Home in the October Country Style magazine!

I had Contry Style Magazine come and do a shoot at my home in May... a few months later and the issue finally hits the shelves. Yay! I am very pleased with the way it all turned out. Sharyn Cairns took some wonderful photographs and captured our home beautifully, while Virginia Imhoff wrote a lovely piece about all the bits and pieces in our home and how much we have traveled etc. The ' where there's tea there's hope ' print got a big feature in the shoot and on the editors letter, which we are so pleased about and the orders have already coming rolling in. Ooooh I must say it is quite a thrill to see my own home and work in print, I am most flattered!
